- Location: India, Ahmedabad (office and field work)
- Positions: 2 Internships available
- Duration: Summer 2016 (May-July) or Fall 2016 (Sept-Nov)
Duties will include conducting interviews with the various Federations and individual women to measure social impact (alongside local team). Factors will include how loan funds were spent, educational process, learning curve of beneficiaries, knock on effects both positive and negative, and current status of women. The outcome will include a survey and report to be published. Interns will be expected to take photos and cover their experiences on social media
*Experience in microfinance, research, development and field work is a plus. Students studying finance, development, international relations are welcome
*Ownership of bike preferable for travel to the field. Travel and certain expenses will be covered with prior agreement (actual). Working knowledge of Hindi and or Gujarati

- Positions: 2 Internships available
- Duration: Summer 2016 (June-August) or Fall 2016 (Sept-Nov)
Duties will include research and development, fundraising opportunities, engaging with local community to raise awareness and funds. Intern will highlight Shanti Life activities on social media and complete a report specific to their interest. Collaboration with global team will be an integral part of the process.
Our team enjoy working with interns either on special projects or ongoing programmes. Our interns and volunteers come from all over the world and engage locally in the field or work from their home countries depending on the role. Projects have included building sustainability models, research and fundraising, database creation, events planning; and field work has included mini film productions, photography of our beneficiaries, food savings planning, water and sanitation projects, entrepreneurship training, working with artisans. We often also partner with universities such as Hult, Enactus, London School of Economics and some schools.
Our internship programme attracts those who are passionate about making a difference in the world, and those who want to build and contribute their skills to a high impact project. Internships last approximately 6 months on a part time basis and are unpaid.
